Zinc is the fourth most common metal in use, annual production exceeds approximately 13 million tons worldwide.
Approximately 30% of the world's Zinc comes from recycling while the remaining volume is mined and metallurgically extracted.
Commercially pure zinc is known as Special High Grade, often abbreviated SHG , and is 99.995% pure.
